The Flood Alert for the River Darent remains in force. Further flooding is possible today as river levels will remain high due to heavy rainfall. No property flooding is expected, but low lying land may remain flooded. River levels will continue to rise until 29/01/2025 particularly in the Hawley area. We are closely monitoring the situation and checking rivers for blockages in the area. Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses. Monitor local water levels and weather conditions. This message will be updated by 17:00 PM this evening, or as the situation changes.
